DMZ – Korean Demilitarised Zone, the border between south korea and north korea is one of the most tensed and heavily guarded place on earth. At present there are 4 observatories present in south korea from where we can see the north korean territories as tourist. I found tours only to two of them. The most interesting spot would have been ‘JSA’ where president Trump and Kim met each other sometime ago. But that spot got closed because of a US soldier violated the border terms recently.
The options i got were Dora observatory and Aegibong observatory. Dora observatory was exciting because of the tunnel. Tourists are allowed to go into the tunnel which goes so close to North korean border 170 meters. At the end of tunnel we can see the concrete block made by south korean military. But photography is not allowed here. Whereas in Aegibong observatory photography is allowed and this place got a starbucks outlet as well. I was able to see some north korean people walking here and there.
